Interior Design Consultancy

An interior design consultancy engagement at the CRAI library on the Hospital Clínic campus of the Universitat de Barcelona — one of the city’s principal academic research library facilities. The project addresses the spatial programming, environmental design, and wayfinding infrastructure of an active institutional library environment.

Scope of work

Programming and analysis — staff interviews, space inventory, and functional analysis to establish a rigorous brief grounded in how the space is actually used rather than how it is assumed to work.

Spatial design — SketchUp modelling and AI-assisted rendering via Vizcom, developing proposed spatial interventions across the library’s primary zones.

Signage Audit and Wayfinding — a systematic audit of existing signage and wayfinding provision, with a framework for improvement across the institution.

Documentation — full project documentation produced for portfolio and presentation purposes, including interview guides, space inventory tools, and design development materials.

Notes

The project is active and ongoing. It is included here as a demonstration of institutional interior design practice — from research and programming through to spatial modelling and environmental design — within a live academic context.
